I had to take my own happiness and growth journey.

Years ago, I hit rock bottom. I had been a stay-at-home mom for over a decade.

I was constantly GIVING and DOING and HELPING everyone else, but never taking time for myself. 

It all started when I had kids. I was going to be the BEST mom (or so I thought).

I co-slept, breastfed, baked bread... ALL the things "good moms" are supposed to do...

...until 6 kids and 12 years later, I was a SHELL of my former self.


I kept trying to be a "good mom," waking up each morning and pasting on that fake smile, hoping my kids and spouse wouldn't notice how absolutely drained and exhausted I felt. 

I threw the birthday parties. I made the meals. I helped with the homework. I drove them to ALL the events...

...but I felt emptier and unhappier with each new day.

My marriage was no better.

My husband just seemed to think if he ignored my unhappiness it might go away.

He avoided me whenever I was experiencing any emotion other than happiness...

...which meant we didn't spend a lot of quality time together, causing our relationship to feel EMPTIER AND EMPTIER.

I spent over a decade giving everything to everyone else, and never doing anything for myself until...

I hit rock bottom.

In December 2010 I suffered a miscarriage. We were on my parents’ farm - FAR from a hospital - so we had to drive 1 hour to the ER.

And sadly my husband and I FOUGHT THE ENTIRE WAY to the hospital.

After we were done at the ER, we drove back to my parents' house in silence. I was furious. FURIOUS that my life sucked and that I wasn't happy and that my life felt so empty and unhappy.

That was the day I decided, "ENOUGH! That's it! I'm going to start doing what makes ME happy, no matter what!"

That was the turning point.


happiness and personal growth...
  • I committed to taking care of myself - putting myself FIRST.
  • I started doing things I love, like yoga and long walks.
  • I revisited everything I had learned in grad school about happiness, parenting, relationships, self esteem, confidence, and more.
  • I went to hours of therapy and read hundreds of books on happiness, balance, boundaries and more.
  • And most importantly, I spent hours in DEEP inner exploration, applying everything I learned, so I could know first-hand how all the RESEARCH and TOOLS work (even if you have a spouse and kids who have "issues" or who don't want to change).
  • I learned SO MUCH about happiness, healthy emotions, time management and healthy communication... and all of the tools and skills that have helped hundreds of thousands of women to take care of themselves, let go of resentment, and experience deep and lasting happiness in their lives and relationships.

And for me, the RESULTS WERE
