Hi! I'm Dr. Jen Riday
I'm the founder of the Vibrant Happy Women movement, host of the Vibrant Happy Women Podcast, and mom of 6! I live just outside of Madison, Wisconsin.
I help burned out moms slow down and starting taking care of themselves so they can get their SPARKLE back.
Do you sometimes feel burned out, like you've hit rock bottom? Are you trying you looking for something “more” from life?
Then you're in the RIGHT PLACE.
So many women feel frazzled and depleted these days. Life seems to pull us in hundreds of directions all the time. If that's you, you're probably feeling burned out and overwhelmed.
I get it.
I've been where you are.
After earning my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies in 2003, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom for our now 6 kids. Somewhere in the middle of my stay-at-home-mom experience, I hit rock bottom. I felt exhausted, depleted and overwhelmed by the never-ending to-do list and not being a “good enough” wife and mom.
Me-time was a vague memory from the past and I felt fragmented and stretched thin. I'd lost myself and had no clue how to claw myself out of the hole I'd gotten into.
In 2010 I had a traumatic miscarriage, which became a wake-up call. I vowed, “Enough! I'm not going to spend another day feeling miserable!” Thus began my journey of happiness. After lots of research, observation and my own trial & error, I created a step-by-step formula for meeting my own emotional needs and living a vibrant, happy life – even when life gets hard.
When a woman gets in touch with her authentic self, starts taking care of herself, and lets go of negative self talk, she becomes radiantly happy. Not only does she feel more energized and enthusiastic about life, but her loved ones and family benefit as well because emotion is contagious. This means
THE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR LOVED ONES IS YOUR OWN HAPPINESS.
P.S. Since this is an “About Me” page, you should know I love yoga, sunflowers, the color turquoise, Switzerland, banjos, nature, hiking and cows. I can't wait to hear about all the things you love.
