Who is Jen Riday?
Let’s start with who I WAS.
After a decade as a stay-at-home mom, I was so used to giving everything I had for my family that I had forgotten how to take time for myself.
When I first had kids, I was convinced I would be the BEST mom. I co-slept, breastfed, baked bread...ALL the things "good moms" are supposed to do until, 6 kids and 12 years later, I was a SHELL of my former self.
I COMPLETELY LOST MY SPARKLE!
But I kept trying to be a "good mom," waking up each morning and pasting on a fake smile, hoping my husband and kids wouldn't notice how absolutely exhausted I felt. I threw the birthday parties. I made the meals. I helped with the homework. I drove them to ALL the events...
...and I found myself feeling emptier and more unhappy with each new day.
My marriage was no better. My husband just seemed to think that if he ignored my unhappiness, it might go away. He avoided me whenever I was experiencing emotions other than happiness, and without quality time, our relationship began to feel EMPTIER AND EMPTIER.
Finally, after 10 years of trudging through day after day, I realized that I had hit rock bottom.
That was the day I began my journey of happiness and personal growth...


- I committed to taking care of myself - putting myself FIRST.
- I started doing things I love, like yoga and long walks.
- I revisited everything I had learned in grad school about happiness, parenting, relationships, self esteem, confidence, and more.
- I read hundreds of books on happiness, balance, boundaries and more.
And most importantly, I spent hours in DEEP inner exploration, applying everything I learned, so I could know first-hand how all the RESEARCH and TOOLS work.
I learned SO MUCH about happiness, healthy emotions, time management and healthy communication - tools and skills that have helped hundreds of thousands of women to take care of themselves, let go of resentment, and experience deep and lasting happiness in their lives and relationships.
Taking a journey of happiness not only made me a whole lot happier, but I also noticed my husband and kids changed, too. Working on ME and healing my heart healed my life and my relationships, too.
