Happy Bit: How to Be Authentic (And Help Other Women Do the Same)
Did you ever stop to consider that authentic living requires listening to your intuition? Learn the best way to tap into your authentic voice and why it's CRITICAL that we not only stop “shoulding” all over ourselves, but especially all over other women. It's time to celebrate the authentic (and diverse) voice of every single woman's effort to live authentically. And to assume we're all doing the best we can.
Are you living authentically?
We all want to live authentically, but do we really know what that means? In this episode I talk about how the best way to get in touch with your authentic voice is through meditation – even if it's just 10 minutes a day. Why? Meditation is your chance to silence the “shoulds” that push us to live inauthentically: You should have a clean house. You should be a better mom. You should not work. You should work. And on and on.
Meditation is your opportunity to get in touch with your intuition, your higher self, a Higher Power, the Universe and to gain clarity about your talents, your gifts and your contribution you can make in the world. It's your chance to build deeper self love, which you can then extend into more loving interactions with others.
The next step after tapping into your own authentic voice is to extend the same courtesy to other women. Please, stop “shoulding” all over other women. Please.
Assume every woman is doing the best she can and don't assume you know better how she “should” be living. As we support each other in living our unique, diverse and authentic lives, we all grow. Together we, as women, rise.
- Meditate daily for at least 10 minutes to let go of the “shoulds” and listen to God, a Higher Power or your intuition so you can tap into your authentic self.
- Stop “shoulding” all over other women. Assume every woman is doing the best she can to become her best self and to be authentic to her own inner voice.
