How to Uplevel Your Thoughts
There are various strategies I teach in the Vibrant Happy Women Club about how to uplevel your life. One of the foundations of upleveling your life is to focus on how to uplevel your thoughts.
Upleveling your thoughts
What does that statement say to you?
As human beings, we are wired for growth. It is a thrilling idea, isn't it? We are designed to grow, adapt, and improve ourselves!
But what happens when we aren’t fulfilling that innate yearning to grow? What happens when we are stuck, unable to push ourselves out of a depression, unable to move forward.
We’ve all been there. Lingering in that rut of sameness. Glued to the routine. Missing that spring in your step. STUCK. And probably discontent in some way.
So when you find yourself wallowing in that rut, how do you climb out? You become aware of your thoughts.
Practice Daily Downloads
All problems are caused by our thoughts; and all solutions are found by changing our thoughts. To help understand and explain the relationship between facts, thoughts, feelings, actions and results, I teach about a tool that I call a Thought Table that is created as you do what’s called a Daily Brain Download.
I practice and teach, as a core part of my practice, about these two things. In this exercise of downloading your brain’s thoughts, you become a scientific observer of your own mind. You focus on your thoughts, pull them all out and put it down on paper.
Implement Thought Tables
Did you know that you aren’t consciously aware of 90% of your thoughts? When you stop and focus on what you’re thinking, these subconscious thoughts are brought into the light.
Through this daily exercise of creating a Thought Table, you can see places where you might be stuck in your thinking. I continuously teach the following concept:
Thoughts generate feelings.
Feelings drive actions.
Actions yield results.
When you see that you are having a negative kind of thought (“I’m never going to lose weight” or “I’m never going to get that promotion”), you can choose to change that thought (“Today I’m going to exercise 30 minutes” or “I will take that extra class so I’m more qualified for a promotion”). BOOM! A total shift of feelings which then lead to different actions and results!
That is upleveling your thoughts. Tweaking and adjusting them to be proactive and setting the scene for success. It’s thinking about your thinking so that you can climb out of that rut and start achieving your goals.
So today, I invite you to think about your thinking. What kinds of thoughts are holding you back or keeping YOU stuck? I challenge you to embark on a daily practice of bringing these thoughts to life, so you can change them, UPLEVEL them, and then they will take you where you want to go.
