110: Finding Peace in the Midst of Chaos with Anne Adametz
Do you ever catch yourself waiting for that “perfect moment” when you can finally be happy? Maybe it's when the kids are all in school? Or when your teen develops common sense? Or when you can retire? You're not alone! In this episode you'll learn a little-known, little-used strategy that will help you master the art of finding peace in the middle of chaos.
What You'll Learn in this Episode:
- How to stop grasping for what you want and to accept what is (the secret path of peace).
- What to do when your emotions seem too heavy to handle?
- Why it’s critical that we feel every single emotion – including sadness, fear, or anger – instead of trying to ignore, change, or stuff them.
- The art of unconditional self love.
- And much more.
Nuggets of Wisdom from Anne:
“Peace is the goal, the way, and the means to get there.”
“Everything is temporary. The only thing I have control over in this situation is me.”
“So many people are trying to lead an authentic lifestyle, trying to be who they really are. To be a good person, with all of our faults and all of our emotions. That is what I love with yoga as a system because it says that you can really only control yourself, you are responsible for yourself, responsible for your own karma. I feel that what brings us together is the vulnerability, the humanness rooted in peacefulness and kindness. That’s how we can function together.”
“Me feeling peaceful is the most important thing. And I can get it for myself. And if I am peaceful, I can create that environment around me that everyone can feel peaceful or not. If you don’t feel peaceful, that is not my job. My job is to make myself peaceful and take care of myself as a person. Peace is really the absence of judgment. It doesn’t have to be great or doesn’t have to be bad, it just is. You can just be ok with the current situation. It doesn’t mean that you love it or that you’re glad that it happened. It’s just that you accept that this is the current things of how things are. And it’s ok.”
What does it mean to be a Vibrant Happy Woman?
“Being here in this present moment. Being love. Being the environment of love and letting go of the rest.”
A Challenge from Anne:
“Download the meditation that I created. If you can get up and try this meditation or any meditation, give yourself that time in the morning to just align and shine. Feel good about life and just enjoy what you have.”
